Under the hood of these new SUVs is a M TwinPower Turbocharged V8 petrol engine that delivers 423 kW / 575 hp of power and 750 Nm of torque. The performance SUVs accelerate from 0-100 kph in just 4.2 seconds to a electronically limied top speed of 250 km/h. The engines comes mated to a new eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. The driver can also take over manual control or gear changes using shift paddles. The BMW xDrive four-wheel drive system adapts to the road surface conditions, ensuring outstanding traction at all times.
On the inside, The range of M specific BMW ConnectedDrive features numerous optional driver assistance systems, infotainment and connectivity. Systems such as the iDrive Touch with handwriting recognition (including a 25.9 cm high-definition colour display), full-colour BMW Head-Up Display with M View, 600 Watt 16 speaker high-end Surround Sound system from Harman Kardon and BMW apps are aimed to reflect the high-level of technology standards.
